Mrs. Elizabeth K Bugumba

As a retired nursing officer who contribute much improving Family Planning, Maternal and Newborn Health in the Lake Zone Tanzania, Mrs. Elizabeth K Bugumba joined the AGH board of directors early 2019. Born and raised in a haya community Northern Tanzania, Elizabeth graduated her education in 1971. During her carrier she exerted more efforts in defending the rights of girls and women. She worked to support women entrepreneurs in Mwanza Tanzania. Mostly she present herself as a women empowerment activist and she is obliged to empower women economically as she believe if women are economically empowered they can be equal actors in the sphere of community development.   Elizabeth passion inclines to educating the wider community on girls and women rights as a tool to preventing violence against girls and women. In addition to saving and intensifying in the AGH board of director’s functions, she continues to share her knowledge in helping women economically with various CSOs within and outside Mwanza region.
